FAQ’s

  • How will the P50 fire extinguisher be maintained?

P50 composite fire extinguishers require no servicing by an external engineer, just a simple annual visual check that can be carried out by a member of your own team. This means that no service contract is necessary, saving you an average of 55% in costs over the replacement cycle.

  • Are P50 fire extinguishers legal?

Yes. The P50 fire extinguishers are endorsed by the highest legal and safety standards across Europe, including, EN3, BSI, Apragaz and MED approvals.

BS5306 sets out the standard for portable fire extinguishers to be serviced by competent persons. The HSE defines “competence” as the ability to undertake responsibilities and perform activities to a recognised standard on a regular basis. Every customer who we supply the P50 extinguishers to, will be trained by our technical team and will be issued a certificate of competence to service the P50 fire extinguishers themselves. We also provide a free of charge, bespoke Extinguisher Management System which stores the locations, sizes, types and commission dates of each extinguisher on your site and will send out automatic reminders when inspections are due to allocated individuals.

  • Why do I only need one P50 composite fire extinguisher?

The P50 fire extinguisher is multi-risk. For example, the P50 foam fire extinguisher is certified for use on class A, B and electrical fires up to 1000 volts. This means that we can replace your usual CO2 and water/foam steel extinguisher pairs with just one P50 foam fire extinguisher. Due to this multi-risk capability, we are reducing our clients extinguisher inventory by an average of 40%.

  • What happens after 10 years?

We offer a refill after 10 years and that will then guarantee the product for an additional 10 years.

  • Are there finance options?

There are finance and phasing options. Contact us to request further information regarding this.

  • What happens if I use the extinguisher?

If the P50 composite fire extinguisher is used on a genuine fire and you receive an incident number from the emergency services, we can offer you a free replacement as part of the manufacturers guarantee.

  • What are P50 fire extinguishers?

The P50 extinguisher is the most advanced fire extinguisher available on the market today.

It is built with marine grade, anti-corrosive components. The multi-risk P50 fire extinguisher has a super strong inner core and damage resistant outer shell and is almost 3 times more effective at eliminating a fire than your traditional steel fire extinguisher.

The P50 is the perfect choice for your business safety needs, no matter the sector.

  • How many extinguishers do I need?

We offer our clients a free of charge, no obligation site survey and this can be done physically or virtually.
